This week’s track is Mr. Zebra by Tori Amos. A dark story perfectly disguised in a child’s lullaby. We love this eclectic interlude that would be a great bridge between two tracks in your car cd of week&groove. This could be a song about a woman who was abused by her husband before poisoning him and burying him alive. Or about abortion and women’s rights. Or about veiled allusions to celebrities. Or just about some kinky Amos laying her many layers in such a short track. I have a feeling that even after the millionth time I hear this song, I will still think, what is she talking about?
