This week’s track is Aguas de Março by Smoke City. This British group unfortunately disbanded in 2002. They were the pioneers in blending acid jazz and trip hop, borrowing from Brazilian styles samba and bossa nova. Aguas de Março (portuguese for “Waters of March”) is a popular Brazilian song. It does not tell a story, but rather present a series of images that form a collage. This track is great for a pre-party gathering around a caipirinha.
